An illustrative café · A website by Matt’s Websites

The more,
the merrier.

A long lunch, an intimate celebration, a reason to get everyone together. Make a little room for the people who matter.

Around one table

Good company.
We like the sound
of that.

Keep the occasion personal, and the planning simple.

The Local Table gathering concept has two formats: a shared long lunch during the day, or an intimate evening with the room to yourselves. Both start with a small group, food in the middle and time to enjoy it.

Choose a format below to build a sample enquiry. The guest numbers, timing and food ideas are illustrative. There is no venue booking, catering order or deposit.

8–12 people · During café hours

The long lunch

One generous table in the café, with bread to share, a main dish for each person and something sweet at the end. The wider café remains open around you.

  • Sample start times: 11am, 11.30am or noon.
  • Allow two hours for the table.
  • Choose a shared format so the group can settle in together.
  • Use the enquiry notes for dietary needs or access questions.

16–24 people · After hours

An evening together

The same warm room, with the pace turned down. A seated gathering with simple table flowers, shared dishes and an easy, intimate feel.

  • Sample start times: 5.30pm or 6pm.
  • Allow three hours for the gathering.
  • Think a small celebration or a team dinner, rather than a party venue.
  • Drinks service, music, equipment and any outside suppliers would need an agreed plan.

A sample shared menu

Pass it
around.

Start with warm bread, olives and a whipped ricotta plate. Follow with roast vegetables, a crisp leaf salad and a choice of chicken or a plant-based main. Finish with lemon loaf, fruit and coffee.

This is a menu direction, not a fixed package. A real proposal would confirm each dish, dietary requirements, service, total price and cancellation terms before anything is booked.

No fixed gathering price or deposit is quoted in this demo.

The helpful
details.

What should I include in an enquiry?

Choose a date, format and guest count. Add the occasion, any dietary or access requirements, preferred timing and a comfortable budget in the notes. Avoid sensitive personal details in a website demo.

Can we bring a cake or decorations?

That would be a conversation before confirming a real event. Mention the cake, decorations or equipment you have in mind in the preview notes; no outside-supplier arrangement is made here.

Can you accommodate allergies?

No allergen guarantee is made by this example. A real gathering would need an ingredient and preparation discussion before the menu was agreed.

Does the preview reserve the room?

No. It only displays the details you entered on your own screen. Nothing is sent, stored by the website or reserved.
